Knights and Princesses

Bolsover Castle, 1 June from 3.15 pm to 6.30 pm.. .Polish your armour and dust off your tiara, it's time to learn the tools of the trade as you become a knight or princess for the day.

Dancing Dogs

The Ark's version of Strictly Come Dancing! Enjoy displays of freestyle dancing with dogs and heelwork to music by The Academy for Canine Education. At The Ark, Ashbourne, DE6 1NB. 10th June 2018 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Teddy Bears Picnic Boat Trips

Tapton Lock, Lockoford Lane, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, S41 7JB. Bring your teddy and picnic for a a jolly day out. Cruising from Tapton Lock Visitor Centre, you and Teddy will travel down the canal stopping for a picnic with fun and games before sailing back to the start. Dogs allowed on lead. 16 June, Saturday 11-2 pm. 15:00 - 18:00

Puppets on Parade

Hednesford, Cannock. There is a lot for families to enjoy in this fun interactive exhibition. You can dress up as a fairy tale character or put on your own Punch and Judy puppet show. You can even star on screen with your favourite puppet. 23 June to 12 Aug, open 11:00 - 17:00.

Most UK women 'not nutritionally prepared for pregnancy' finds review

The reviews says that adequate nutrition through a balanced diet, and avoiding unhealthy behaviour like smoking, is the best preparation for pregnancy. Waiting until pregnancy to address a poor diet, while still beneficial, is too late to benefit fully.
