There are so many groups for children under-five in Derbyshire and Staffordshire. The list is continually growing as an army of women, and some men, dedicate themselves to keeping our children entertained and giving us somewhere to go where our babies and under-fives can have fun whilst we socialise.

Mayfield Summer Fete

With children's fairground ride, shire horses, bouncy castle, dog show with classes like waggiest tail, - lots of fun for young children. Saturday 31st August 10 am to 4 pm.

Village Fete

Moon Landing Maize Maze and Space Rangers

At National Forest Adventure Farm,Tatenhill, Burton on Trent. Until 2 September, 10 am to 6 pm.


Bubble-tastic fun in a drop in bubble making workshop. Suitable for all ages. See if you can make a bubble big enough to stand in! Gladstone Pottery Museum, Stoke-on-Trent. 29 Aug 2019 11:00 - 16:00.

Morley Village Show and Fun Day

15 Sept 2019, 12 pm. Morley Primary School, Ilkeston. Carnival-style games and stalls.

Dear Zoo Live on Stage

Pomegranate Theatre, Chesterfield. Rod Campbell's best-selling lift the flap book has delighted generations of young readers since it was first published in 1982. This production will delight all those who have read the book (both young and old) as it unfolds with child-engaging puppets, music and lots of audience interaction. 28th and 29th September.

Wirksworth Wizarding Day

Expect magic and wonder, snakes and owls, broomsticks and train rides, and thousands of witches and wizards in their best robes. Saturday 26 October 2019.
